🐝 This is it.... Spicewood Families!

This week is the BIG week! We have been working very hard to prepare for you and cannot wait to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year!

It is a week full of excitement, nervousness, and exhaustion. We will use these 3 days to build class community and set classroom and school expectations.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of our school family.

Here’s to an incredible year at Spicewood Elementary!

With Mustang pride,
Principal Brantley 💜💛

Starting Monday, August 24th, we will start NORMAL car line drop-off. No walk-in drop-off.

*** We have amazing staff who will help you unbuckle and unload your kiddos out of the car. We have staff all along the hallways and in the cafeteria to help them get to class. ***

Dismissal

We will (once again) have our amazing FERRY dismissal system this year. For those of you who don't know, it is a way that we stack cars in our parking lot to ensure efficiency and safety. We will have volunteers to help us the first week or 2 of school.

As always, we will be training new staff and new families. While we will have parent volunteers to help us for the first couple of weeks, we ask that you give us grace. We will get faster each day.

If you borrowed a book and are done, please return it back to Brantley. If you are interested in a book, let me know at tbrantley@mfisd.org.

Student Book: Amazing Generation

Are you interested in your child(ren) reading and discussing it with you?

Mrs. Brantley will provide a Book Club Lunch at the beginning of school, during school, for any student at SWE who has read the book. Parents will be welcome to join us that day.

Details such as Date/ Time TBA.
