What a week!

We had such an amazing week. From the Middle School Band/ Choir on Tuesday to holiday parties, it is just a fun time of year.

School Board Special Recognitions

We honored 5th graders, Eduardo Aguilar and Millie Sue Rust, who received the Superintendent Award.

Danielle Harmon, 4th grade Math/ Science teacher, received the GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Award.

We are so proud of our peeps representing our Spicewood Community well.

Holiday Resource Assistance

We are aware that extended school breaks may be challenging for some families, and we would like to ensure you have access to information on a variety of resources you can access during the upcoming break.

Below are several locations you can visit to receive food assistance, as well as a link to a broader list of food pantry and community kitchens in the area:
  • Ark of Highland Lakes- Frozen Casseroles and commissary items (hygiene items, cleaning items) are available at the office @ 700 Avenue T, Marble Falls from 9am-4pm.
  • They are only open Monday and Tuesday of next week due to the Christmas holiday.
  • The Helping Center @ 1016 Broadway, Marble Falls, Monday-Friday from 9:30-1:30 and Tuesday/Thursday from 5:00pm-7:00pm
  • They will be closed Wednesday, 12/24, through Friday, 12/26. They will reopen Monday, 12/29.
  • They will also be closed Thursday, 1/1/26, and will reopen Friday, 1/2/26 at 9:30am.
  • First Baptist Food Pantry- traditional food pantry @ 408 Avenue R (The Mission Center)

For other resource assistance needs you can contact Ark of Highland Lakes at (325) 423-3662, the Community Resource Center at 830-693-0700, or St. Vincent De Paul Society at (512) 755-3299.
 
For urgent mental health assistance, please contact the Bluebonnet Trails Crisis Hotline at: 1-800-841-1255. As always, please contact 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Play Club Information and Volunteer sign up

We are excited to have Play Club two mornings a week! If you'd like to help monitor and hang out with our students on a Monday or Wednesday morning, use the link to sign up. If not employed by MFISD you must fill out a volunteer form (link on sign up) and check in at the office.
